Had originally opened a 1999 Escuda Roja from Chile but it was undrinkable. Not corked in the regular sense, just tasted like the left-overs from Kelly's Diner dishwater on Sunday morning. Close your eyes, done' look at the lable and you'd bet the house this sucker was Loring Keefer. Seems resonable as he made this hummer for them. Not sure why there'as a need for 2 Lorings in this market but with this addition we have them. Big extracted juice that would turn the cockles of Buck-Snorts black heart a flaming brite blue. Very young but I wanted to see if there was enny difference. This vintage I found none. Needs another 2-4 IMHO. Well-Made juice, but I lost my train of thought in the tasting doing the comparison thingie. Probably in the hi 80s' to low 90s. WW

It should be interesting to do a side by side of Pali from the 06 and 07 vintages with those from later vintages. The Lorings are out at Pali - the new winemakers are Kenneth Juhasz and Aaron Walker.
