Freds' first effort with this precosious varietal and very successful done considering the vintage. Brite ruby. Sweet notes along with spiciness(cinnamon?) hit the nose and mouth. Great texture and mouthfeel. kight center and a solid 3&3/4 lapper finish.Close to the top of its' game. Tasty stuff. 88/88. 30 on futures. 14.5% alc. WW

ww- have you tried their vin gris? Or is that too SW for you?

( I just got my very first case from them today. Couple cabs, mostly zins and couple of the vin gris.)

As a matter-of-fact I got a 6-pack of the vin gris last year. Good Stuff! WW(I call it an Anemic Red)

Had another bottle last nite with chinese eggplant. The nose is improving but not yet enough to change the scoring. WW

Opened another of these suckers last nite to watch the ossies and the nose has improved enough to raise this baby into the 90 range. Most of the tannins are gone but still needs another year to flesh out. WW

Had another bottle for lunch today with roasted zuchinni and homemade chicken soup. The nose has expanded along with heightened nuances of earth, leather, and barnyard. This is a great example of RRV pinots in, supposedly, and off year. Kick this bugger up to a solid 90. WW

Opened the last of the Mohicans for lunch yesterday. Fleshed out nicely and the nose is lovely. A terrific effort in this kinda' so-so vintage. Jad with marinated Lagostino tails lightly grilled. Good stuff. A solid 90/90 WW
