Willamette Valley.

Decanted for 30 minutes before pouring. Garnet in color, with an initial black plum nose that became more cherry cola as the evening progressed. Flavors generally followed nose, with the plum fruits evolving into more cherry, with some earth, and a touch of vanilla on the finish. A barnyard element came in late in the evening, but it was complimentary and didn't overwhelm. Nice Pinot frame and good acidity. Alc. 14.8%. We paid $40 locally. A nice bottle that makes me eager to try my regular Beaux Freres Vineyard bottles that've been resting comfortably in my cellar since Anne bought them for me on our 7th anniversary. We're approaching 10 next month, so the time may soon come

FWIW, WS 89 -- said drink to '08.
