I am new to Madeira wine , but happened on a bottle of Barbeito Malvasia Madeira 1900. Help with pairing of food for this wine to start the next century.

Malvasia is quite sweet, so its food pairings are limited. Sharp cheese, perhaps, but the greatest use (aside from sipping Malvasia as its own dessert) is to pour it over ice cream.

I am curious, however, where was the wine produced? Generally, if it is produced on the island of Madeira, Malvasia is called Malmsey, from a British ruining of the original name.
