Sorry about the Santa Barbar--a combination of Barbara and Babar the elephant I guess.
from Bien Nacido Vineyard
13% alcohol; cork separated in two parts, was cracked but didn't get into the wine
Dark purple color and dark fruits on the nose. Flavors of blueberry and cola. Very different profile than the Steele Carneros Pinot Noir I like so well. I prefer the Carneros, but I can envision a following for both styles. The Carneros is more delicate and elegant. The Bien Nacido, Santa Barbara, is more impactful, full-bodied, blueberry-centered.
(I thought I had already posted this but don't see it so forgive me if it is a repeat.)
