- winoweenie - 09-29-2006 This brite ruby beauty is a keeper. Sweet spices, red and black fruits, and just the rite amount of barnyard on the nose. All come over on the p[alate along with a nice soft creamy feel. Lovely entry solid center, and a 4+ lapper finish.Had at lunch yesterday with BRW and 2 other friends along with an 02 Foley Santa Rita and a J Wilkes Santa Barbara 04. IMHO it was a "No Contest". The Block C killed the other Wilkes and was better than the solid Foley. 93/90. 47 per(Think alc is 14%)WW - dananne - 09-29-2006 Sounds great. Stay on this pinot phase, as I'm enjoying the notes - winoweenie - 12-03-2006 Opened another of these hummers for lunch of grilled portabellos in pinot/garlic/butter sauce. This is as said afore killer juice. No change in scoring. WW |
