I just bought a bottle based on a recommendation. It was only $11. Anybody ever tried this one?

Just about everything I've tried from Cartlidge & Browne has been very nice. They produce a range of well made wines at a really good price. Their Chard, in particular, is a favorite of Robert Parker.

Pardon my ignorance... who is Robert Parker?

You are a wine newbie, right? Robert Parker publishes the Wine Advocate, a bi-monthly periodical of wine reviews. He's regarded by many as the most influential wine reviewer/critic around. Check out his website - www.erobertparker.com.

Yes, I be a newbie. I will go look at his site right now. Thank you!

Opened this one tonight. Very soft in the mouth, subtle, smooth, and very easy to drink... had it with grilled marinaded steak and chicken.

Very nice wine, not oaky at all. I will buy more of this.
