A few years ago a close friend who was a casual wine drinker vacationed for a week in Burgandy, became enamoured with the local juice, liked this stuff so bought a barrell(25 or so cases) had it bottled and shipped. As I'd given him a few slugs he presented me with this . In the meantime he's drunk all of his stash, keeping them safely under his bed. I now remember why I quit buying Burgandies.Very shy nose. Little fruit showing on the palate but more than made up for by the excessive acid. Never asked him the price but certain he coulda' bought a nice Ore/Wash/Cali Pinot and several meals with which to enjoy them and tipped lavishly. No score. WW

If he bought it at the auction, it could not have been cheap......
