Had a glass with brunch at a mini-brewery restaurant to accompany asparagus quiche, breakfast potatoes and a side of bacon. (They also had a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc by the glass which would have matched the asparagus nicely but maybe not the bacon.)
IK, and others--I see why you praise the Villa Mt. Eden P.N. I didn't take notes but found it pleasing in all aspects. Nice clear ruby color. Attractive berry/cherry aroma. Appealing fruit flavors to match the nose.
This weekend I took a Jacob's Creek Shiraz/Cabernet blend as the communion wine for church. Next time I'm signed up to contribute the wine, I think it will be the Villa Mt. Eden Pinot Noir.
