This is my first Kistler PN. I've had their Chard before. I never caught the vineyard but I also was not very interested. Opened with much anticipation from the table but ended up not my fav of the night... I'm not sure why people like this wine as much as they do. I mean it is fine. It is certainly cleanly made but the oak is so amped and the flavors while there are so inidividually delineated as if to specifically point out that I should see them. It was a very obvious wine is maybe what I should say about it. I've frankly tasted Bourgogne that are better tasting and more compelling....say Lafarge and even Meo-Camuzet... Again, not a big beat on the wine as I'm sure there are fans, just not me....
