This Premier Cru red Burgundy was my Easter wine to go with ham in a pineapple-ginger sauce and au gratin potatoes.
13.5% alcohol
Pretty crimson-purple color between transparent and opaque. Nose hints of both red and dark berries, some underlying oak. Some viscosity. Savory and juicy mid-palate. Pretty nice with the ham but I could envision it with duck in a cherry or cranberry sauce. The second evening I had it with chicken divan.

I have a few of these for 04 and soon to come 05. Looking forward to them!
