Russian River Valley, volcanic soil, distressed vines and rough irrigation usually give this producer some outta-the-park whackin' Pinot. I was a bit disapointed in this one, perhaps cause it was early to drink, but nonetheless. Dark cherry, raspberry fruits, Cola, Anise. Fruit fell off the cliff and didn't linger long enough for me to smile. Didn't score it, just made some notes...

Drinking a two year old RRV Pinot is baby killing.

i haven't been a fan of too many '08 bottlings from california, reds expecially. still seeking '07s then will try to wait out the '09s.

Good to hear from you Newsguy. What part of the country is your home now?

Newsguy, I hear you. I think the majority of 08's around the world will be forgotten....

Good to hear from you.
