Found this orphan from the bottles I bought from Jerry Meads' cellar. Cellar abused as it was, this wine is still a viable bottle. With good provenance this baby is just coming into maturity. Jerrys idea of storing wine was as spartan as his tolerance for any pomposity relative to the juice itself. Any closet, crevice, or unused space in his apartment was a prime candidate for his wines. Nonetheless his palate was immaculate. Now that the shipping walls are crumbling I contacted Jeff at SCMV and have received several boxes. I STRONGLY suggest any Pinot or Cabernet lover contact Jeff Emery at www.santacruzmountainvineyard.com and see if he can ship his juice to your area. Absolutely the longest-lived Pinot made in the USofA and worth 2-3 times the price. Jes' a heads up folk. WW
