From the Carneros district of Napa Valley. Much darker in the glass than your run-of-the-mill PN, looks more like a Zin. Big nose shows over time in the glass with dark fruits, esp. blackberries and dark cherries. Doesn't even hit the palate like a PN.... no cranberries on the tongue-tip. Maybe this thing was mis-labeled? More black fruit emerges on the palate with a long finish, cranberries finally show above the clouds. 14.4% alc/vol. Can't find the receipt, but thinking it was in the $12-$14 range. With grilled salmon and sauteed spinach Sunday night, then with more of the grilled salmon in a pasta salad last night, it was mighty nice. Should have bought more than the two bottles.
