With NY strips, wild rice, fresh leafy salad: Nice bright ruby in the glass, muted nose of pencil shavings and sweet chocolate: bright red fruit on the palate indicating Merlot dominance, moderate lip-smacking finish. 12.5% alc/vol and probably about $18 at Spec's in Houston (a Christmas or b-day gift of 3-4 years ago, so I'm not supposed to know the price.... but she gave me three, so the other two are still sleeping.)
