Hmm....opened and decanted.

The wine is dark and you can't see through it for anything. Nose is intense. YOu don't need a glass....just walk by the glass and you will smell it. Dark and red tart fruits, wood, and some gameyness on nose and the palate. This is a full-bodied, with reasonable tannins, good acidity and a long finish. This wine seems tighter to me than the last bottle I had, but the tannins did smooth out with time in the decanter. Nice...I like this much....Second wine of Lynch-Bages.

The last botlle of the 00 I opened was closed tighter than Buckos wallet when the restaurant check comes so I've quit on them till next year. Seems like the dumb phase happens sometime between the 4th and 6th year. I liked this bottling too. Have a box of it and big bro in the cellar.WW

D@mn...Buckos wallet must be like only millimeters thick......

You are right though, wine did appear to be rather tight. May avoid them for another few years.

Opened another of this lil' bro for lunch yesterday at the club. Has blossomed like my lillys this spring. Bodes well for the Lynch. Solid citizen. WW

WW, thanks! I've still got a few of these resting so I'll start to pull them out.
