Grilled both NY strips and burgers this afternoon while awaiting t-storms (which haven't yet arrived) and gave her the choice.... she chose the steaks, so quickly decanted this infant while burning down the oak coals and gettin' 'er done.

Sound St Julien nose, true to form. Very nice color, even looks young in the glass (and just splashed onto my shorts!). Bright red fruit on the palate, seems young there too, lip-smacking and chewy with pronounced tannins... needs time but should be worth the wait, my guess is 6-8 in a good cellar. 13% alc/vol and about $46 at Costco (about twice what we're accustomed to spending on an at-homer). Nice juice.
