This one is an inexpensive "Haut-Medoc" which tastes like a soft cabernet sauvignon with the typical French mouldy funk in it -- a taste like old leather and wood. It has some nice fruit, very balanced and well rounded without any really annoyingly dominant flavors. I liked it, finished half the bottle with pasta. It has a bit of merlot and cab franc mixed in, 12.5% alcohol. $20, 88 BK.

Can't believe I missed this reliable producer on my 00 futures order. Just checked and by-gum I did! My guys in costa Mesa must not have ahd a position on it. Bummer! WW
