a glass for $6.75 at 518 West (Jones St.) in Raleigh with lunch.
Lemongrass nose. Sharp acidity for the vintage--acidification? Light gold color, darker than I anticipated. Suspect some wood treatment but not certain. Somewhat disappointing overall. Drank this with a wild mushroom over polenta dish with shredded cheese and rosemary--tasty. I should have ordered a Pinot Noir but wanted to try the Pinot Bianco. (I also indulged in a cappucino with "ice cream sandwich" dessert (2 large Snickerdoodle cookies with strawberry ice cream, chopped hazelnuts and caramel sauce and powdered sugar, whipped cream on the side with a mint leaf--couldn't eat it all)
