Had my B-day party yesterday (sorry KC that is why I did not get over there) Line up was

Whites
1995 Joseph Perrier Champagne Cuvée Josephine
2004 Christian Moreau Chablis Grand Cru Le Clos
2006 Domaine des Comtes Lafon Meursault Clos de la Barre
2006 Paul Pillot Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Grande Montagne

Reds were:

1990 Domaine Joseph Druohlin Clos Vougeot Grand Cru
1990 Chapoutier hermitage Le Sizeranne
1989 Chateau Grand Put Lacoste, Paulliac
1996 Cain Five
2001 Viader Red
2003 Las Spinetta Sterderi barolo

Dessert wine was
1977 Talyor Fladate Vintage Port
So with the white first

1995 Joseph Perrier Champagne Cuvée Josephine - great champagne, vibrant, lively, elegant, slight nuttiness.
2003 Christian Moreau Chablis Grand Cru Le Clos- what a beautiful wine, solid, almost tropical, great density, with none of the austerity that I expect in a Chablis
2006 Domaine des Comtes Lafon Meursault Clos de la Barre - Almost the wine of the night, This thing has a nose that keeps going and going. Super Meursault
2006 Paul Pillot Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Grande Montagne- unfortunately a very good wine in great company. lighter, more elegant but still very complete, minerally, more floral, very elegant.
