2005 Tobin James, Radiance, Monterey County, Chardonnay ($16 & came in fall '06 shipment). Methinks this is this first journeyman Chard they have made with Monterey grapes; as they have their reserve in recent years. It is amazing that they can age it in small oak barrels for 10 months and still sell it at $16. Alcohol level 13.6%.

Gives lotsa fruit on the nose and upfront. More fruit and a hint of spice add to the complex elixer in the middle. And, of course the oak! It finishes nicely.

Drank a half bottle with dinner consisting of leftover turkey, stuffing, and gravy; as well as some peas and onions. This covered up the oak pretty well and resulted in a very enjoyable meal.

Second half tonight with grillpaned boneless pork chops with nice seasoning, and the last of the leftover peas and sweet pots. All went together very nicely.
