- brappy - 07-11-2007 Anyone gotten around to this one yet? I Actually had one of the restaurant clients give a bottle to taste. So I'm opening it tonight. We'll see. mark - brappy - 07-13-2007 I guess not..... Medium to medium/full body; nose has red fruits, some wet barnyard earth and a touch of cola. Palate has much of the same. Good concentration; acidity shows itself on the mid-palate. Medium length finish. Over some time (about 2 hrs), some caramel notes came out on the nose and palate. The wine got much, much better over this time. It also has picked up weight. I highly suggest decanting this for awhile. Good QPR for under $20. - TheEngineer - 07-13-2007 How does it compare to previous years in your opinion? - brappy - 07-13-2007 Hi Eng, I've no idea... This is the first I've tasted from this producer. Wish someone else would chime in with a comparison note.... mark - winoweenie - 07-19-2007 Braps the post titled IMMEDIATE action required will give you loads of insight on this fine producer. WW - VouvrayHead - 07-19-2007 sorry I'm late to this party, been busy! I like the 05 Cab from them a lot.. I found it a touch light but fruit forward and invitingly drinkable with nice bright cab flavors... This was 3-4 months ago, I had a few of these... i liked it better than the 04, which I tried last year. Gonna pop the 05 McMannis in next couple of days and I'll post my ever-inspired opinion. |
