Another wrong vintage grab by the weener. Was looking for a 96 and there was 1 97 mongst the 96s in the cube and as all outward apperiences are identicaal I opened without verifiying. Glad I did as this is a whale of a bottle. Lots of plummy, spicy, cassis and chocolate notes with a hint of the Rutherford dust showing up in this medium inky potion. Still with another 3-5 improvment span this can make the ouitstanding area at its apex. One of the old Napa vineyards that sold grapes to the Caymus',Beaulieu, and Mondavis before deciding to bottle their own juice. Lots of P/Q value here and aleays on my short list of purchases. 89/92. 20 by the box. WW

I agree!! The Honigs are great people and make very good wine. They are focused on making great cabernet and sauvignon blanc. This winery is a hidden jewel that many people don't know about.

Opened this after returning from a party yesterday. This bottling has definately kicked it up a notch. Lovely balance with mature fruit leading the pack. The finish is a solid 4+lapper Good Stuff! 90/92. WW

Had lunch at the club by meself yesserday and took the last of these (to my knowledge). What a marvelous drink! Hard to believe that a winery that makes juice this scrumptious has stayed under the radar so long. Now I'm getting my shouda'-wish-I-hada' bought more. WW
