- winoweenie - 01-02-2003 Superior efforts from two Napa institutions. I always have buyers remorse after trying an older bottle of the regular bottlings and figuring how many more bottles of these I could have bought without the GDL Reserve and Pvt. Reserve bottles in the cellar. These are both simply outstanding bottles with the Knights being a whisker better at this stage. The Rutherford came in at 90/91 (13 by the box) and the Knights at 92/93 (17 by the box).WW - Drew - 01-03-2003 Have always enjoyed both offerings except for a '94 Knights that didn't show well. DRew - leatherman - 01-03-2003 Wino, what is the life expectancy on the 95 KV??? [This message has been edited by leatherman (edited 01-03-2003).] - winoweenie - 01-03-2003 Under optimum storage conditions another 6-9. I'll drink the rest of mine in the next 6-7, and believe me I have optimum storsge. I can't see them improving so I'll drink up. WW - Kcwhippet - 01-03-2003 If the 95 can go almost another decade, will I ever be able to drink our 3 liter 96 KV? - winoweenie - 01-04-2003 Hi KC. If you'll read the post carefully, the wines are at their peak. They can be drunk next Tuesday OR over the next 4-8. Not sure about the 96 but it was similar to the 95. I'll try one next week. WW - winecollector - 01-11-2003 *Doing* the nah-nah-na-nah-na thing ta winoweenie as I eye up my 95' Beringer's in the cellar...
