80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, 2% Malbec and 2% Petit Verdot

Dark black ruby in the glass showing a nose of coffee, black cherry, black olive and cocoa. Ripe and soft showing flavors of black cherry, blackberry, cassis, cocoa and hints of vanilla. Has a dusty character and the tannins are soft and sweet on the long finish. Nice wine. 14.5% Alc/vol. $27
Paired with leftover Heartland flank steak, roasted potatoe wedges and a wonderful salad.

Popped another last night with a close friend, Jeff, who stopped over. This bottle, though, was a horse of a different color. Very oaky with an Oz, milkshake flavor profile going on and disjointed. Jeff liked it but not so much I.

Sounds very suspiciously like a bad bottle.
