Have been very busy over the holidays so I'll do a Bucko and mass-post from memory. With the Turkducken we had 6 Zins, all 94s'. The Ridge Lytton Springs, Papagni Ranch and the Geyserville. All 3 were 90 to 92 point wines. From Scherrer we had 2 94s the Old & Mature Vines and the Shale Terrace. The Shale is a sleek, very polished effort and the O&M is a power-house product. Agin' bof of em 90+. The last was a 95 Biale Late Harvest. A great bottle that had some residual sugar and still came in at over 15% . A real treat.
On the last trip to the coast, we had a Group of 94 cabs and meritages. The Justin Isosocles, BV GDL, Pride Spring Mtn,Liparita,Whitehall Lane Morisoli, and Phelps Insignia all were consensus rated 95 and nowhere near ready. The Conn Creek Anthology, Arrowood Sonoma, Cakebread, BR Cohn Olive hill, andStags Leap Napa were all in the 89 to 94 range with again leave be fro another 2-4. Our hosts had a marvelous table with all the goodies spread out sos' we had the proper pairings. Still more in the interim but am ashamed to have been so tardy on these suckers. WW

What did you think of the Ridge zins?

WOW....The answer is in the post. Not too many 90+ zins on the market. Have every bottling of every vineyard they've released since 1990. Guess you'd say I like them buggers. WW
