Had the Alluvium for lunch yesterday. What a classy bottle. Entry like Joan Crawford, A silky middle like Marilyn, and a finish like Striesand. The Hess is one deep bugger. Dense, heavy black fruits. A whisper of oak, spicy, vanillan flavors are rampant. This beauty still has some rounded tannins to allow further development. Another success from one of my favorite P/Q producers. WW

Have anything else but liquid with that lunch?

As a matter of fact, had thin sliced stips of tenderloin , green and red bell peppers, onions, with fresh garlic sauteed in a black pepper sauce over rice. Pretty tasty stuff. WW
