Had to try this after the stellar "98. A little lighter in color. Balanced nose of black fruit, vanilla, cocoa and a little alcohol. Similar flavors but not as lush and deep as the '98. A nice wine for $8.99 but stock up on the '98 IMHO. 13%Alc/vol.

Drew, you are right on the money,'cept a bit too generous on the '99. Now why do we suspose that is, since the grapes are all sourced from the combinations of early and late planted estate yards, vinified in similar manner, and no excursions have been noted by the winemaker? Gosh, are we holding some grapes here? Tsk!
