Completely atypical of the vintage. Medium deep ruby. Great aromatics. Lots of red fruit, spices, cedar, and creamy vanilla. Smooth entry, solid center and a 4+ lapper finish. Stioll needs another 2-4 to resolve some silky tannins. 91/92. 26 by the box. 13.8% alc. WW

I agree ww. On my first trip to napa back in 2003. we stumbled upon Raymond tasting room. They had mags of the reserve on sale for $60.Being so new to wine and not knowing 98 was a marginal year, we bought one and had it with pizza that night. We went back the next day and they only had 3 left.We bought them all. Had the last one on new years eve.I have tried to find more and there isn't any to be had.

Had another for lunch today.Lovely nose developed after 30 minutes. Still needs another 1-3 to resolve some silky tannins. No change in scoring. WW

This jes' keeps-on-keepin'-on. Nose still developing and is room-filling. Still no sign of age. Lovely drinking. Not quite enough to jack up the pernts. WW
