This outstanding P/Q producer is always on my must buy list. Every since Johns' 1st cab vintage (1978) he's produced either very good or outstanding juice. This edition falls into the latter. Deep ruby. High red fruits are joined by sweet spices, a touch of dust and vanilla. All come over on the palate along with some cassis and plums. Solid entry, weighty center and a 4 lapper finish. 90/92 22 by the box.14.2% alc. WW

Couldn't agree more WW.... I thought the price was a little lower than that. But anyway, great juice.

Had another yesterday for lunch and this is one tasty sucker. Nose is typically Napa with just a little of the mtn. weight thrown in. Can't rave enough about this outstanding juice that comes in all varietals from their 220 acres just above Donn Chappellets' great vineyard. Planted in the early 70s' John has continued to produce vintage after vintage of superior juice and keep it priced so we mere mortals can afford it. Kick this'n up to a solid 91. WW
