Bought a 98 thru 2002 vertical at the winery a few years back. This was very nice tonight with southwestern marinated flank steak off the grill.

Lots of blackberry and toasty oak on the nose. Very fruity and fairly concentrated, on the palate it had lots of black fruit with notes of dried herb, tobacco, and traces of red cherry and cigar. At its peak as tannins were resolved on this fairly complex wine. No bricking.

Very good and solid Cab in a down Napa vintage.
