this is their entry level cab and my first cohn wine. blend is 58% grapes from their olive hill vineyard in sonoma county and 42% from the paso robles area.

(14.0%; $21.99) brilliant crimson color. cherry dominates the very nice nose, with hints of chocolate, olive and dark fruits. good, similar flavors. over time, the flavors turn to dark fruit, with a hint of licorice and a slight bitter note on the finish. strong entry, drops a bit on the midpalate when some fine tannins kick in, but the finish is good. this wine has decent acidity despite a big juicy mouthfeel. while it has good structure, i thought the wine definitely was better on night 1 as it developed over 2 hours in the dcanter than the second half of the bottle was on night 2. 88 points, but there are much better values to be had.
