1999 St. Clement, Red Table Wine, Oroppas, Napa Valley, California, $50, 5,200 cases. A host of aromas and flavors play on the senses. Blackberries, blueberries, cassis, chocolate, French oak, and violets abound. Medium to full-bodied, the balance is impeccable. 91/89.

Agree on the 98; we picked some up at the winery. Can't wait to try all the 99s, since it is a better vintage.
