Just some quick notes as i was trying to get out of work before 12:30am.

'93 Good color. Nose is full of dark berries like mullberries when they fall off the tree and get crush staining everything in sight. The palate has medium concentration with good sweet fruit but no cream in the fruit. Tannins have softened but has plenty of life yet.

'94 More red fruits in this nose; think red creamy cherries. Palate has more of the red cherries add vanilla and a touch of cream. Great sweet fruit; Nice long finish.

'95 Nose - mixture of red and dark fruits with a touch of soft leather. Much of the same on the palate add a touch of cacao powder. Extremely long finish; great structure.

'97 The nose has nice fruit but not enticing. the fruit is blue with a touch of red. The palate has great red sweet fruit; nice finish. This wine seemed to be missing something, like it was still in a deep sleep or at least just coming out of it. Not quite ready to drink but at the same time not a disappointment at all. I'd love to try this one in about a year. I believe this wine will be singing then.

All of these wines were great, well made wines. All wines were decanted about 3 hours before tasting.

Have been a staple in my cellar since the magnificient 75 vintage. Have't even looked at the 97s' yet. WW
