Deep ruby. Nose of Cassis, currants, flowers, and spices.Viscous juice that all comes over on the palate. A real heavyweight bottle of juice that needs another 1-5 to shed some fine-grained tannins and will hold for at least another 10 from there. A killer bottling from the mighty Big Bob. 91/91. 79 by the box. 14.5% alc. Ww

Had to have an old favorite after the small sabbi. Expansive nose that filled the glass and my recliner. Slight bricking. Killer mature fruits wail on the palate and you can put this sucker at the TOIG. Should hold another 8-10 without blinking. Kicking it up to a solid 93. WW

No real surprise that the current issue of "Wine Enthusiast" pays tribute to "Bob" Mondavi. (Also has articles on wine from Argentina and wines from elevated sites in Sonoma and beach wines and food.)
