Hi, i'm new here and pretty new to wines too. I tried a Cab i liked , it was Redwood creek, not too pricey and not too bitter, it went well by itrself and with food but would like some suggestions on some similars, i also really love Clos La Chance but it's a little high at $25.00/btl for me, i don't mind going to about $15.00 max/btl any suggestions very well appreciated, we like a cabernet that is smooth , not too much bitee to it. My wife liked Corbett Canyon but i feel we need to get something a bit nicer for us and company.

Hi Verdivin and welcome to the board. If you go back on the cabernet thread for a year you caan get more than enough info to help you get some new supply. If not, Columbia Crest is a favorite P/Q wine of mine and also the Bogle line-up of reds. Good Drinking. WW

Hi Verdevin, and welcome to the Wine Board. Try Columbia Crest Grand Estate. You might also look into Australian cabs in that price range such as Jacob's Creek. Some nice ones in that range are coming out of Argentina now too. Look for those from Alamos.

Another suggestion from Australia is Paringa Cabernet Sauvignon. I've enjoyed Paringa Shiraz but haven't yet tried the Cabernet. Both sell for under $10. Hess Select is another California Cabernet Sauvignon that is not too expensive but a higher standard than Corbett Canyon.

Do they have Rex Goliath out there? Their cabs are good for the price.

Another one our threads to explore is the one on Best Buys. There are TNs there over the last year on Pacific Estates Cab, Rex Goliath Cab, and Hahn Central Coast Meritage. All recommended.
