Took the following to the beach our Turducken; 4 bottles Prosecco, 2 bottles Cline ancient vines zin, 2 bottles Stags Leap Cellars Petite Syrah(2001), 2 Penfolds Bin 128, and 2 bottles Mark West Edna Pinot, and for MOI 2 bottles 93 Robert Craig Howell Mtn, 1 btl 92 Pahlmeyer, 1 btl 92 Stags Leap WC Fay, and 1 btl of 95 Peachy Canyon Para Siempre. The Prosecco was great as both an appertif and with the birds, the Cline was a great match with the food, as was the Mark West. The Penfolds was OK but the Stags Petite mowed down everything in its' path. This hummer needs the BBQ with sauce and tabasco. Great wine but not a foodie. Alla' da stuff for me was opened in the afternoon for sunset watching
and after starting at 8 in the morn with 3 tequila sunrises and shrimp omelettes at Lilys' my tasting memory is sketchy. Sure they were good as none resided in the fridge the next morning. Evrery muscle left in my bod aches...still. Last year the little booger took a nap in the afternoon but this year he got up with me and I had the early watch from 5:30 till 7:30 when Dad got up. Forgot where the idea of a perpetual motion machine derived but he drove the point home in spades.Wouldn't have it enny other way. WW

Sounds like an incredible weekend. One question, were you not a little early on the '01 Stags Leap PS? I have a '96 collecting dust that they recommended holding till '05.

IK, I've been arrested for molesting aa young bottle afore, but this one was a killer. Hate committing infanticide but this was totally a whacker. This bugger will age gracefully for another 10-15 and reward in spades. By-the-by, ordered a case of this sucker this AM. WW
