Bottle was mid shoulder so I wasn't holding out much faith. Opened the capsule and it was badly rusted. Cork came out in three parts......

Wine was alive!!! Maybe a bit more advanced than it should have been but I doubt it at 76 was I've been told, not a great year. Definitely in the last third of its life but still dancing. Smoking, tobacco, leathery, dried cherries and blueberry on the nose, very mellow, soft, but still plenty dense and deeply colored. This wine went very well with a roast duck for dinner. Glad to have opened this one and not needed to send down the drain.
