Deep purple with ruby rim. Undeniably cab nose. Cassis, black fruits, sweet spice and a touch of earth. All come over on the palate with just a touch of smokiness thrown in. Sexy mouthfeel. The solid center gives way to a solid 4+ lapper finish. Has to be one of the top 5 cabs from this uneven vintage. Dead on TOIG. 92/93. 30 on futures. 14.8% alc. WW

BRW and I had this along with the 98 Heitx Trailside for lunch yesterday. 2 fine fellers drinking 2 good bottles of juice. Thurs done' get no better! These 2 have to be among the top 10 wines of this vintage. Both were almost purple with no bricking. The Heitz was the more feminine of the 2 but had plenty of pizazz. The Dehlinger was pretty much like the earlier post and as usual, we were having too much fun to really lift up the hood and check the batteries. The Heitz has to hit the 90-mark. WW

Had this for lunch today and it has definately hit the TOIG. Not much to add except I got to enjoy much more of this sucker as I be the only one snuggled up to it. Still a few left in the cwellar but they'll be casualities sooner than later. No change in scoring. WW
