This is another example of this amazing vintage. The bin has been blocked in the back of the cellar until recent openings in the diamonds allowed some access. Deep ruby still with not even a hint of browning on the rim. Nose of mature red and black fruits, cinnamon, cassis and the elusive "cotton candy" note I've found in this bottling. All hit the palate along with some light cedar notes. Soft as a spring breeze, this bottle is at, or slightly over, its' peak. Had to open this to go with a marvelous New Zealand dry-aged rib-eye steak(I misidentified as a filet). Blended with 5% Cab Franc this is one lovely Napa bottle. 92/100000. 27 by the box. 13% alc. I'm not sure exactly Eng but think the Moffitt vineyard has been around for quite a time. WW

Thanks WW. I tried to look online for some information but ended up a bit more confused than when I stated. The only thing I took away from the wine was that there was no way it was a new planting as the wine was very very nice.
