Had Daughter and SIL over for some serious Black Angus steaks last nite. The Anderson Conn Valley Vineyard was a lovely deep ruby. Nice aromatics with black fruits, a tad of vanilla, some cassis, and a spicy note. Good entry, a solid center, and nice long finish. A unanimous 90. The Pride was deep garnet with no signs of aging. A complex nose of brite cherry fruit, cocoa, a touch of vanilla, with a bit of cinnamon mixed with the spices. Great entry with a center that carressed the supple tannins, and a long, long finish. This wine is here now, will improve, and has lots of stuffing to go another 10. Terrific juice that was scored as high as 95 by the group. Mine was 92. Good Stuff. WW
