Had lunch with a buddy yesterday and has a 92 Stags Leap Vineyard SLV and a 95 Pride. Must say both were up there in the point spread but the SLV bottling has hit the top. Soft, Subtle, Silky, Stuff. Great color, highly developed aromatics of brite cherry, cassis, vanilla, bakers cocoa, and spice. That hound could hunt. The Pride is coming along swimmingly. Still with 3-5 to resolve some tannins it still shows its mountain roots and has lots muscle behind that baby fat. Keen juice. WW The lunch wines were so good that I served the same thing from my cellar to my Daughter and her hubby last nite. Went super with some Omaha Steaks, dirty rice with shrimp and fresh steamed asparagus tips. Can't add ro the luncheon notes but did manage to commit infanticide by opening a 97 Far Niente. Needs another 5-8 and is structured to go 20-25 more. Loking back I really don't think we needed the 3rd botlle as, most on the board knows, CB drinks nuttin' but SWs'.
