Beautifully balanced blend of the 5 Bordeaux varietals. Medium brite ruby, violets, red fruits, smattering of new glove, spices, and cassis with a tad of lavender hit the nose. Great entry, good center, and a solid 4-lapper finish. Silky tannins are just about gone. This sucker aint gettin' no better. Should hold for another 5. 91/93. 25 by the box. 13.4% alc. WW

This was my 2-Glasser yesterday. Had my eldest grandson over to celebrate his 25th. Did a beef tenderloin on the grill. This wine is at the top of its' game. Should hold another 4-7 depending on storage and is still rating the same. As usual with these folks, a lovely bottling. WW

Know anything about their Sienna Meritage? I picked up several bottles of the '01 on closeout for $15 based on the rec of my wine guy. He said to not sit on them like their Sonoma Cab, but I'm wondering if some short-term cellaring is in order or if I should put them in the next year category in the ole' cellar.

Haven't tried their Sienna. My experience has been with the Sonoma and Tresor, both of which are stand-up bottlings. Sorry. WW
