Found this orphan last week so took it to my favorite wine bar yesterday. A good wine from a top producer from a mediocre vintage.
The brite ruby color was the first good omen. The pretty nose came with red cherry fruits, cassis, a bevy of sweet vanilla notes aand a touch of spice. Entry was like silk. The mouthfeel was creamy and the center was solid. The finish was medium long. The remarkable thing was the almost feminine character of this wine. Very close to a Margaux of the same vintage. A complete wine that suprised every one who tasted it with its` complexity. winoweenie
