Medium opaque. Developing nose of black fruits, cassis, and sweet spices. Nice entry, weighty mid-palate, and an almost 4-lapper finish. Far more civilized than when 1st tasted. Developing into a very nice bottle. needs 1-3 more. Not a long-ager.88/90. 19 by the box. 14% alc.

Thanks! I'm getting ready to buy some of this and hadn't seen any notes.

Make sure it's the 01. Dont hunker-up to the 02 a'tall. WW

Developing swimmingly. Deep ruby with no rim. Nose has evolved with the addition of black fruits and a nice cigar box-pencil shavings note. Tannins have subsided but can still develop for another 1-2. Kick this lil' hummer up to a solid 89. WW

I think I have one of these. May open during 2008. Hope it wasn't the 2002 instead.

I still have 6 or so and agree '01 was a good year, probably the best, for this QPR from Sparky and Sarah. Wow, don't follow WW's advice , the 02's were not bad. Mine are good.
