This Bordeaux blend of the 5 varietals was made by Ed Sbragia before his retirement and establishing his own family winery. Brite medium ruby. Shy nose initially but after and hour red fruits, flowers, spice and vanilla hits. The taste also was slow developing but all the components came together. One of the 5 top Meritages most vintages this carries the banner swimmingly. Solid entry, weighty center and a 4+ lapper finish. There are some hefty tannins that need another 2-4 to soften. Solid wine. 91/94 27 by the box.14.1% alc. WW

CB and I decided to take a drive up the hill yesterday and have lunch at le' Auberge in Sedona. If there's a more beautiful spot in this here worldly I'd have to see it. Sitting outside on the terrace watching crystal clear Oak Creek make it's way leisurely past while cradeling a glass of 06 Conn Creek in me paw was a slice of hebbin'. Now to the Beringer....2 words... DRINK UP!!! Not gone but is on the down-snort for sure. Still a classy drink but don't press your luck on this hummer, If'n you gots it....Drink it.WW
