I messed up here - sort of!! I thought I had pulled a 2001 but didn't notice until I had poured the first glass that it was the 1997 - our last one! This is one really nice wine. Still had its cassis and spices, and the oak was light. Tannins were nice and soft. Some of the big upfront fruit it had in its youth has toned down but it's still there. This could have gone another 2-3 years. Sure wish we had more.
