- winoweenie - 11-14-2001 Deep color almost opaque. Reticent nose that opens after 15-20 mins in glass. Soft plummy, cassis, and light vanilla nose all carry thru on the palate plus a hint of dill. Good entry, a solid mid-palate and a nice long after that is marked by some unresolved tannins. A very nice cab that is drinking much better than I originally thot it would be at this stage. I intend to monitor all of the 96's closely as they seem to be evolving much quicker than my original assesment. Wha' the debbil happened to alla' dem' early tannins?? A lovely cab that, like the Hess, seems destined to peak in about 1 to 2. WW How's dat' Drew-seau? ;D - Drew - 11-14-2001 Notes received, accepted and filed away.... Drew |
