For some reason Jim Laube doesn't think so highly of MV--I think he rates the winery 3 out of 5 in his book on CA wines--which is better for those of us who like buying and drinking it. RAD - winoweenie - 06-02-2001 'Jes go to show Rad Ole' Bean how subjective the taste-buds be. Laube derned sure 'haint the last word. As a matter of fact I've never even considered him the first word. WW [This message has been edited by winoweenie (edited 06-03-2001).] - Innkeeper - 06-02-2001 J.L. is hawking something called Carter, Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley Coliseum Block 1998 as a Hot Pick for 6/1/01 over on the Wine Press. Could this be one of those monsters going nowhere that Dan Berger has been bitching about? - winoweenie - 06-03-2001 Probably IK. I'll add this to my " Do Not Buy " list. WW - Jorge Rodriguez - 06-12-2001 Any thoughts on the 97' Wild Horse Cab from Paso Robles. How much should I pay for it? Alberto - winoweenie - 06-12-2001 Jorge, welcome to the board. The Wild Horse is a solid producer that offers good P/Q ratio. The wine should be in the 13-16 dollar range. A Nice wine. WW |
