Thought I'd use this for 2 purposes; to also answer the post on the 97 by Newsie below. This is a textbook Napa caab. Deep ruby with pencil shavings, cassis, vanilla, spice and a load of fruit up-front. All comes across on the palate in spades, (diamonds, clubs, and heartalies twoosi). Solid entry, a nice weighty center, and a 4&1/2 lapper finish.Aromatics have drastically improved in the last 3 years. A kick-fanny bottle of juice that has fulfilled all of its' early promise. 92/95. 20 by the box. ww (Can look forward to more of the same from the killer 97 vintage. Thot I'd reported on this bottle lately. The memorys' the 2nd thing to go!)

Opened the last bottle of this yesterday after the dissapointing encounter with the Voila! and happily can report this dude be alive and well. The complete package for an aged Cali Cab...Strong aromatics, all the fruit, spices, and nuances you'd expect and a killer finish. The alc 1s 13 %. Drink-em' iffin youse got-em'. Take to a solid 93.
